Between Christmas 2021 and January 6, 2022, the famous portrait of Winston Churchill taken by photographer Yousuf Karsh in 1941, which had been displayed at the Château Laurier, was stolen and replaced with a copy.

Centered around three main themes – the theft of the photograph, Yousuf Karsh's career, and the trafficking of artworks in Canada – the investigative documentary "The Heist at Château Laurier" seeks to answer a big question: Is the portrait of Churchill gone forever?
