SYNOPSIS
On the evening television newscasts around the world broadcast the photo of two-year-old Aylan Kurdi washed up lifeless on a beach, a decision was made in the Audet-Paventi household: they would sponsor a family of Syrian refugees. This is the story of the great human adventure that followed and the intimate bonds the two families developed over the course of a year. Set against the backdrop of the historic wave of Syrian refugees coming to Canada, D'une mer à l'autre is a chronicle narrated in the first person by a woman who commits to helping others grow their own roots in the land that welcomed her own immigrant ancestors.
