Quebec in the 1960s was a period of social change marked by terrorist acts and arrests. In October 1970, the FLQ (Front de Libération du Québec) kidnapped British diplomat James Richard Cross and Labor Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Pierre Laporte, whose body was found in the trunk of a car, while Cross would remain captive for 59 days.

For nearly two months, the Montreal police, the Sûreté du Québec, and the RCMP joined forces to deal with a crisis that had already claimed a life. A blend of fiction and documentary, FLQ – La traque takes us at the heart of this large-scale police operation.
